What should I know before I mail my diamonds and jewelry?
You should feel 100% comfortable with the shipping process before you ship us your items. Methods of shipping like FedEx, UPS or USPS offer tracking numbers and insurance for high value items and we will be happy to help you determine an insurance value before you ship. We have many tips to offer you to ensure that your package is shipped in a safe and secure way and encourage you to call us before you ship anything. It is a rarity to have a package misplaced through any shipping method when it is insured and traceable and that is why we recommend these methods.
How will I get paid?
Once you accept our offer we will overnight you a check and you should receive the next business day. In special circumstances, a bank wire transfer may be available.
Can you give me an exact price before I mail my diamonds and jewelry?
Before you mail your item(s) we will be able to provide a pre-sale estimate based upon the information you provide us with. That is why we ask for as much information as possible as this is the closest way we can get to an exact price before we view an item.
Do you provide appraisals?
We do offer written appraisals for insurance or estate purposes for a fee, however when we evaluate your item for purchase there is no charge.
May I speak with an appraiser first?
Yes! We want you to call us! You may reach us during our business hours at 800-747-7552. Then, once your item is received, one of our appraisers will call you review your offer with you.
Do you buy from jewelry stores, dealers, pawnshops, lawyers or banks?
Yes, any size lot or grouping is considered.
Do you purchase estate jewelry?
We love estate jewelry, in fact, our expertise on antique and estate jewelry is known in the trade throughout the United States and Europe. We participate in the famed Las Vegas Antique and Watch show as well as the multiple Miami Beach antique shows every year and are always looking to procure special estate jewelry items.
What are you buying right now?
We are currently in the market for single diamonds that weigh one carat or more, superior quality colored stones and antique jewelry. We specialize in natural fancy colored diamonds, diamonds over two carats in size and signed jewelry pieces.
What is the difference between an appraisal and a certificate?
An appraisal is a written document from a jewelry store or jewelry appraiser. A certificate is a written document from a non biased third party. The three most internationally recognized are International Gemological Institute (IGI), Gemological Institute of America (GIA), European Gemological Laboratory (EGL). The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is the laboratory that has the most regulated and strict standard within the trade.
What kind of watches do you buy?
We purchase high quality watches such as Patek Philippe, Cartier, Rolex, Vacheron Constantine and other fine watches.
What kind of paper money and coins do you buy?
We are currently in the market for quarters and dimes minted prior to and including 1964. We are purchasing United States paper money and ask that you please forward a photograph of the front and back of your bill for a pre-sale estimate.
